Hold your phone closer to the subject
We all know that you can only your smartphone a minimal distance from your subject before the autofocus stops working. It is really frustrating and you end up digital zooming, resulting in degraded image resolution.

Magnification?

This lens does not have magnification. It is equivalent to what your eye sees making it a true macro lens at 1:1 ratio. Holding the lens so close to the subject, it can completely fill the frame without the need to digitally zoom and degrade the image quality.

Manual focus
This lens has a variable focus ranging from 22 to 82mm lens comparison. The focus ring can be turned all the way left or right, allowing you to move your phone as close as 3mm to 7cm (2.75") to the subject.

Automatic focus
If you do not have a tripod and patience for manual focus... that's totally ok. Turn the focus ring halfway between the two endpoints and let your phone do all the normal autofocus. You may only need to turn the manual focus if you want to hold your phone a little closer or further away. 

Background blur
This is one of the most amazing features of this lens. Anything in the scene beyond 7cm (2.75") from the lens blurs. The soft creamy background produces beautiful 'real' optical bokeh effects from any bright light sources in the background.

Better resolution and sharper images
Yes, some smartphones have a 2X lens option to get in closer for extra details. This lens is placed over your main lens, having the highest-resolution sensor producing improved results.
